Turning Off the Net (Again!)

Remember the internet outage in January caused by 2 severed undersea cables that cut off most internet traffic between Europe and the Middle East? (I blogged it here).

It has happened again. Three of four undersea cables lying at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea and apparently severed off the coast of Sicily (between Sicily and Egypt) have caused massive internet outages in Egypt and will take several days to repair.
